“Creating Inviting Learning Spaces”
St James Catholic Primary School has undergone significant transformation as part of the redevelopment. This included a new additional building with GLAs and Multipurpose Room, Outdoor Passive Learning Area & Amphitheatre.
The main challenge was that the school is located in an existing Heritage Building and the brief was to create a new additional building which is integrated to existing school buildings.
We also concentrated on creating new GLAs/ learning areas that make children feel comfortable, free and have fun while learning.
During the Design stage, all learning aspects and categories were considered in order to archive different learning stages and also individual/group learning.
